Engine 72 was purchased in 2002 by MCFD.  The truck was designed around a FDNY style pumper with modifications to meet our needs.  E72 was nicknamed the "Wanna-be" by the workers at the manufacurer.  It serves as the fourth out piece of apparatus for structure related responses in the city.  E72 responds second out for auto accidents.  When MCFD is called upon for mutual aid with our neighbor departments this truck is the unit that responds.
