Fire & EMS Levy Information

SUPPORT YOUR FIRE & EMS

Please vote YES to renew the tax levy!

The City of Milford and Milford Community Fire Department will be placing a property tax issue on the May 2, 2017 ballot.  This is for RENEWAL of the existing 12.5 mill tax levy that expired on December 31, 2016.  We are asking for your support so we may continue to provide safe and effective FIRE and EMS service to the Milford community.

Milford Community Fire Department receives its primary funding from this property tax.  In order to continue providing fire protection and emergency medical services to citizens, students, businesses, business patrons, commuters, and visitors of the City of Milford, we must pass this tax levy renewal.

We renew our pledge to you that we will effectively manage your fire department and work constantly to be good stewards of the tax money you invest in the protection of your family and belongings.  The revenue from this tax levy is not to fund extravagances but ONLY to keep the fire department properly staffed and equipped to provide the emergency and community services you expect.

The Bottom Line - What This Means for You the Taxpayer

A YES vote will renew the FIRE and EMS property tax levy that expired

December 31, 2016

There will be NO INCREASE from what you currently pay in property taxes for FIRE and EMS protection

SERVICE WILL BE MAINTAINED AT THE CURRENT LEVEL!

Thank you for your support!
